Anata "Dreams Of Death And Dismay" CD
Their second release in 2001 and they ain't lost a thing. They have proved themselves again with this storming melodic death classic that they are more than capable of siting comfortably on the shelf along side the likes of Decapitated and Vader . Some intense riffing and technical guitar interaction all offset by the abrasive throat wrenching of front man Fredrik Schalin and the drum blast of Robert Petersson. Come and ave a go if you think your extreme enough! |
Anaal Nathrakh "Domine Non Es Dignus" CD
Audio apocalypse is the only way to describe Anaal Nathrakh. Mick Kenney the brainchild of the concept can also be found in top bands such as Frost and Mistress . This is one hell of a disturbing brutal album that elevates Black Metal to new heights. Anaal Nathrakh have gone from strength to strength with each release but this disc is sure to blow your mind. |
Anaal Nathrakh "Eschaton" CD
I thought Anaal Nathrakhs last album was killer, but this is an absolute blinder of an album! Unrelenting state of the art black metal that has gone far beyond there necro tag, without loosing any of the filth and the fury that propelled them to this position in the first place back in 2000. The closest comparison is latter day Emperor, especially concering the varied vocals V.I.T.R.I.O.L. sure has been doing his homework and it shines through here. Though this is but a small part of the story, a truly individual band that will no doubt remain at the cutting edge of black metal for the forseeable future. Plus there are guest appearances from Shane Embury Napalm Death , Blood From The Soul and Attila Mayhem , Aborym both of which add to this aural cacophony rather than detract. |
Arcturus "Sideshow Symphonies" CD
Progressive metal at its finest. Arcturus are one of the pioneers of the genre and no one can argue that these guys don’t know how to lay down an album of the finest black metal mixed with atmospheric off kilter climatic beauty. For fans of Lunaris, Borknagar and Solefald. |
Blood Duster "Blood Duser" CD
The raging new album from one of the most fucked up bands around. Featuring guest appearances by Dave Evans (ex AC/DC) The Spazzys and Jay from 28 days. Some of the most insane, fucked up grindcore available. Full of grossed out lyrical content and some seriously rocked up, Rockabilly rhythms. Check it out at your own risk. |
Carnival In Coal "Fear Not" CD
Imagine what would happen if Frank Zappa, Faith No More and Mr Bungle played or had played extreme metal: black and death metal blended with disco grooves and the most sensual funk...Hidden in a secret place in Europe, walking against trends and fashions, two men share a single dream since 1995: mixing the absolute brutality of an "avant-garde" deathgrind with the hottest grooves of the black music from the 70's and 80's. |
Carnival In Coal "French Cancan" CD
Imagine what would happen if Frank Zappa, Faith No More and Mr Bungle played or had played extreme metal: black and death metal blended with disco grooves and the most sensual funk... This is the second release from one of Frances most bizzare and talented bands. This is an album of cover songs that have been given the Carnival twist. Some of the classics to be found are Ozzy's 'Bark At The Moon' and Morbid Angels's 'Fall From Grace' . This may well be bonkers but its also highly inspirational. |
Carpathian Forest "Fuck You All" CD
Fuck You All induces a riotous desire to punch the air with your fist repeatedly while clutching a pint in the other! Vhemenent dirty black metal with a good variation of vocal tones courtesy of Nattefrost and superb preciscion drumming from Tchort Green Carnation & Blood Red Throne yet without loosing that loose feeling we have come to know and love from Carpathian Forest. A hybrid of Darkthrone and Motley Crew, but far, far more debauched! |
Carpathian Forest "Skjend Hans Lik" Digipack CD
A must have new release from one of the best Black Metal bands around. This disc comprises of unreleased tracks , pre production tracks and mix tracks. Also contains the original 1992 bloodlust and perversion demo mixed, revitalised and in all its glory. This cd also contains a bonus video track. Now thats what I call value for money. |
Carpathian Forest "Defending The Throne Of Evil" CD
Atmospheric, raw and traditional black metal from a truly cult band that have survived the test of time in the black metal arena. Having stuck close to their roots throughout their lengthy career this album delivers a pristine slice of fast, melodic and inspiring metal that will take you on a twisted tour of the psyches of this anti-Christian band. 'Spill The Blood Of The Lamb' and 'Ancient Spirits Of The World' are prime examples of the air tight musicianship and atmospheric, electronic soundscapes that they can deliver. A definite must for the avid blackened metal freak. |
Dawn Of Relic "Lovecraftian Dark" CD
|
Dawn Of Relic "Night On Earth" CD
A new Melodic Death Metal masterpiece. Dark, forboding and desperately necessary. If bands like Children Of Bodom and In flames blow you away then this will definitely satisfy your desires. |
Finntroll "Visor Om Slulet" CD
Highly acclaimed experimental / acoustic album and the last with original vocalist Katla prior to his retirement. |
Finntroll "Midnattens Widunder"
Excellent debut full length form the Humppa / Folk Metal innovators and bizarrely including a member of Impaled Nazarene! |
Gorelord "Zombie Suicide Part 666" CD
Delivering evil, brutal horror metal, Frediablo of Necrophagia has created a one man wreking machine that really puts accross his love of classic horror movies. Chunky riffing, rasping vocals and a mid paced groove tempo all add together to create an uneasiness throughout. Contains two bonus tracks. |
Gorgoroth "Pentagram" Reissue Digipack CD
Featuring Samoth of Emperor on bass, the first release from Gorgoroth is a chilling blasphemic affair that will satisfy any avid Black Metal fan. |
Green Carnation "The Quiet Offspring" CD
The 4th release from the great Green Carnation and a superb follow up to 2003's 'A Blessing In Disguise'. Displaying the same level of beautiful musicianship as previous albums with a slightly heavier more progressive edge. The matrimony of calm and heavy are one of Green Carnations blessings and we can guarantee that all who sample 'The Quiet Offspring' will not be disappointed. There is something here for every metal head and music lover alike. |
Green Carnation "A Blessing In Disguise" CD
Here we have a compositional masterpiece. The most recent release from Green Carnation takes you on a 'progressive' journey through metal, combined with an astounding array of other musical influences. There is a real Pink Floyd element to the whole proceeding with some really haunting, goose bump making atmospheric passages. The content and structure of this epic are amazing, taking you way down to the lowest points of tranquillity and then elevating you instantaneously to euphoric rock/metal majesty. Its damn hard to explain so you just have to buy it and see for yourselves. Believe me on this one. Its a steamer!! Features Tchort of Blood Red Throne (Death Metal) and Carpathian Forest (Black Metal) |
Jungle Rot "Dead And Buried" CD
8.00 euro £6.40 Brutal groove laden extreme metal in the vein of Dying Fetus. Jungle Rot definitely know how to kick up a storm with Mosh parts that can even go head to head with the mighty Suffocation. |
Mayhem "Chimera" CD
More to the point than "A Grand Declaration Of War" this boasts full tilt Black Metal in the vei ofthe new technical, cold and clinical Mayhem. |
Mayhem "European Legions" CD
One of the biggest names in black metal bring you a blistering live show recorded on their 'Grand Declaration Of War Tour'. This high quality live performance is followed up by 5 tracks from Grand Declaration Of War pre-production. And it has to be said that even though they are pre-production versions they still sound totally immense and full of energy. |
Mayhem 'The Grand Declaration Of War' CD
The album that divided fans and critics alike - a sleeker version of Mayhem reared its ugly head but this was no less malevolent than the older days.......shrieked vocals from Maniac sparred with the futuristic vision of Blasphemer's blue(black?)print for the way Black Metal should sound in the new millennium. Caustic and individual, ignore what all the arguments about this being 'true' or not and decide for yourself. Mayhem are light years ahead of the corpsepainted back with this album. |
Nattefrost "Terrorist - Nekronaut Pt. 1" CD
10.50 euro £8.40 The second album from Carpathian Forest associate Nattefrost and as you may well expect it is a bitterly grim Black Metal affair exploiting the most sickening and perverse side of human existence. With grim production harking to the early days of Black Metal and eerie cold music this album will not fail to horrify you with its delightful anarchic tendencies. |
Necrophagia "Harvest Ritual Volume 1" CD
Grim horror metal that would put the shits up Freddy Kruger. Mastermind Killjoy has really gone to town with this their seventh record of perverse gore pleasure. |
Necrophagia "The Divine Art Of Torture" CD
Killjoy is back and this time he's brought different friends. With a completely new Line-up to previous Necrophagia records, Killjoy has delieverd a slab of sludgy horror inspired metal. Their style borrows from death metal as much as it borrows from the vaults of horror films scores, mixing the two with a punk overtone. This record is raw and uncompromising...like the film 'I Spit on Your Grave'. |
Nocturnus "Ethereal Tomb" CD
|
Solefald "Red For Fire - An Icelandic Odyssey Part 1" CD
Beautifully crafted extreme epic metal. For fans of Borknagar, Arcturus and Lunaris |
Solefald "Black For Death - An Icelandic Odyssey Part 2" CD
More diverse than their previous album Solefald again take us along on their journey into Viking myth and truth. Metal Hammer (UK)- 8/10 |

Mixing well thoughtout Gothic Metal and well blended Death Metal The Old Dead Tree manage to captivate you with this stuning new relese. |
Tsjuder "Desert Northern Hell" Digipack CD
Blasting, grim Black Metal with great attitude and style. Tsjuder don't mess about here on 'Desert Northern Hell' and will surely give a freezing cold enema to the Black Metal scene that is so desperately needed. For fans of Carpathian Forest and Forest Stream . |
Wurdulak "Severed Eyes Of Possession" CD
|
Reverend Bizarre "Crush The Insects" CD
The second album sees The Reverend going a bit Cathedral on us! We are not talking Supernatural Birth machine here but there is more groove and at times an upbeat feel to the proceedings. This is of course quashed by the sheer quality of the Doom when it does arrive and arrive it does be assured!Another quality release and the first track "Doom All Over The World" is totally killer- a dance floor anthem for the Doom crowd, well almost! |
Yattering "Human's Pain" CD
